What is DataShield?
DataShield is a division of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin dedicated to confidential document
destruction. DataShield is a secure facility with Chain of Custody
contracts with its customers and provides a professional document
disposal service that complies with prevailing legislation -- Health
Information Portability and Accountability Act, Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley,
Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, and others -- that controls
the way in which confidential information is handled.
What is NAID?
The National Association for Information Destruction, Inc. (NAID) is the international, non-profit trade association of the information destruction industry. Its members, including DataShield, are companies and individuals involved in providing information destruction services. NAID's mission is to educate business, industry and government of the importance of destroying discarded information and the value of contract destruction services. Suppliers of world's best products and services for the information destruction industry are also NAID Members.
Goodwill DataShield is NAID certified, as a plant-based operation endorsed for paper/printed media destruction.
What does ISO 9001 Registered mean?
Goodwill Commercial Services, Work Services, including Goodwill DataShield, and Laundry are ISO 9001:2000 registered for their quality management system. ISO 9001:2000 is an industry standard of quality certification that provides a model on which an organization may build an effective quality management system.

Goodwill pursues and achieves its mission by operating diverse businesses: participant programs and services, retail and salvage sales, industrial subcontracts and laundry, and service contracts with the government.
