Secure Collection
All DataShield collection bins are lockable and designed for the
collection of confidential documents. You will have one key that fits
all bins located at your facility and DataShield keeps a second key at
its Secure Facility.
DataShield offers several collection
bin configurations. The most common collection bin is a 64 gallon bin
for paper documents. Large volume users may request a 96 gallon bin.
DataShield uses a special 38 gallon bin for electronic media
collection. For special locations within your facility you may wish to request
a cabinet bin.
Bar Code Tracking
DataShield utilizes proven Symbol bar code scanning equipment
for the purpose of tracking bins and demonstrating its chain of
custody throughout the process.

GPS Tracking
DataShield uses secure, dedicated vehicles to retrieve collection
bins. These vehicles are tracked through a GPS tracking system, 24 hours per day,
7 days per week.
Digital Video Tracking
The DataShield facility is monitored 24-7 using a Digital Video
Recording System. This system records motion when it occur from the
point containers are removed from the truck box at the DataShield
loading dock to the point the container is placed inside the DataShield
Secure Facility. Additionally, the system records all movement within
the Secure Facility and permits you to remotely observe through the
Internet your documents being destroyed.
Benefits:
- Validation of other tracking systems
- Remote view confirmation of document destruction
The DataShield digital recording system is a multi-camera system. The
video record is retained for a minimum of 90 days before it is archived.
Certificate of Destruction
At the completion of the shredding process, DataShield will provide you with documentation that the destruction process is complete and the
documents picked up by Goodwill DataShield have been destroyed.
